Sounds of the Old Town: Black and White Portraits of a Musician in Alicante

In the heart of Alicante’s old town, among cobbled streets and contrasting lights and shadows, we carried out a special black and white photo shoot with Norwegian musician Robert Skarsbakk. Robert, a professional musician, commissioned the shoot to celebrate the release of his new album, and one of the images was chosen for the album cover, conveying the essence of his music through the language of photography. 

We aimed to create images that seamlessly intertwine Robert’s unique features and style with the atmosphere of the old town. Using black and white and the play of light and shadow, the images are deep and expressive, conveying the contrast between the brightness of the music and the restraint of the visual art. This style allows the viewer to focus on the very essence of the image, emphasizing the melody in every movement and look of the musician. 

This photoshoot on the streets of Alicante not only became an important part of the visual design of Robert’s new album, but also captured him in a unique, almost cinematic aesthetic.
